MyBarber
This policy explains what information the MyBarber app collects, why, and how it's handled — for both customers booking appointments and barbers managing their shop on the platform.
MyBarber is a booking platform connecting customers with independent barbers and shops ("service providers") who use the app to manage their own bookings, availability, and clients. This policy applies to both. When you register as a service provider, the business details you enter — shop name, address, and working hours — are shown to customers browsing or booking with you; they are not private.
We collect only what's needed to run the booking flow and keep you informed about it:
| Category | Examples | Collected from |
|---|---|---|
| Account info | Name, email address, phone number, password (encrypted) | Everyone, at sign-up |
| Business info | Shop name, address, working hours, booking rules | Service providers |
| Booking data | Appointment times, service requests, cancellations, client notes | Created by app usage |
| Preferences | Language, theme, notification settings | Set in-app |
| Device & push token | A token used to deliver appointment reminders | Automatically, if notifications are enabled |
We do not collect your location, contacts, camera roll, or photos — the app never requests those permissions.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it, ever.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Service providers can configure how long completed appointment history is retained. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see our data deletion page. We'll delete it within a reasonable time, except where we're required to keep records for legal or security reasons.
MyBarber is not directed at children and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Passwords are encrypted, and data in transit between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, notify you in-app.
